ISO22716:2007 STANDARD

ISO 22716 is a cosmetic manufacturing standard aimed at improving the quality and safety of cosmetic products. It covers various processes, from production planning to the storage and transportation of finished cosmetic products. It also includes documentation for monitoring and tracking product quality. This standard further enhances the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for cosmetics production, ensuring greater efficiency. The management guidelines include the following:

1. Production Facilities
A key requirement of ISO 22716 is that the manufacturing site must be appropriately designed for safety and efficiency. The facility should be easy to maintain and clean, ensuring that the risk of contamination in raw materials, products, and operational processes is minimized.

2. Equipment
Equipment used in the production process must be properly designed and installed to avoid any risk to product quality. Calibration and maintenance are required according to ISO 22716 standards to ensure precision and accuracy in operations. Additionally, equipment should be stored separately to prevent any potential cross-contamination.

3. Raw Materials
Raw materials and packaging must be sourced from reliable suppliers who adhere to GMP, Halal, or ISO standards, and they should be accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis. A robust management system is required to inspect, store, and track raw materials to ensure they meet the highest quality standards. Continuous evaluation of raw material quality is also essential.

4. Production Control
Every production step must be monitored and controlled according to a predetermined Quality Plan. This includes overseeing raw materials, ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, and proper storage to ensure the final cosmetic products are of the highest quality.

5. Finished Products
Finished products must undergo quality control inspections throughout the storage and transportation processes. All steps involved in handling finished products should adhere to international standards to maintain product quality.
